August 15, 2001 - Dale and Liz take
ownership of Castlegar RV Park and Campground from the previous owners,
Leonard and Hilda.

By 6:00PM, Dale and Liz host a welcome party
for all the current guests and our new friends
|

A nice carrot cake was ordered from Plaza
Bakery who did a great job of decorating it.

The evening was enjoyed by all the guests
in the park. The wine glasses were passed down to us from the original park
owners from the 1970's. |
|
For the rest of the summer and early fall
we enjoyed guests from Canada, USA, Germany, Switzerland, England, Ireland,
Spain and elsewhere. |
 |

The park was real busy with many folks
enjoying the last few camping days of the summer holidays. |
|
We got married on Sept. 1,
2001. On Sept., 3rd we boarded the MS Volendam for a one week
Honeymoon cruise to Alaska. Thanks to Jim and Linda Adams who
managed the park while we were away. |

In the fall, furry faced Dale and smiling
Liz get ready for a quiet winter in the park. The park closed
for the winter October 10th, 2006 . Come and visit us again in Apri! |

In the winter, the camp gets very quiet
but we are staying here to do maintainance, then maybe a few weeks
vacation in a warm climate. See you early next year! |
